Dr. Paula Stewart N.D., L.Ac.

Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist

Growing up in a Caribbean family, natural remedies were always the first method of treatment for any ailment. Whether it was a tea, herbs and spices, or using “food as medicine”, the message of utilizing natural food for good health was ingrained at an early age.

Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida with dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Molecular Microbiology, I knew I was called to serve in the field of medicine. After working in dermatological and hospital pathology labs, I was convinced that prevention was a key component of medicine. I earned my Doctoral degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. After graduating from Naturopathic Medical School, I earned a Masters of Science in Acupuncture at Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture in Phoenix, Arizona, where I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine. Along with general family medicine, my areas of expertise include dermatology, women’s medicine, and stress management. In addition, I incorporate numerous styles of acupuncture that focus on quick and effective results. These styles, known as Dr. Tan's Balancing Acupuncture and Body Mapping Acupuncture, take a holistic approach to minimize discomfort and maximize health benefits.

As a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist, my passion is to inform and motivate each patient to become just as passionate about their individual health. It is this passion that empowers patients to approach preventative and holistic (mind, body and spirit) medicine as a lifestyle for themselves and their family, effecting generations to come.
